All-on-4 (also called “Smile in a day”) is a treatment where a full set of teeth is anchored to your jaw using just four strategically placed dental implants.
These implants act as secure foundations for a fixed bridge of teeth, giving you the look, feel, and function of natural teeth – without the need for traditional dentures.
At Peacock Dental Spa, we use fully guided implant placement for all cases. This means every implant position is pre-planned using advanced digital imaging, and surgical guides are created to ensure that your implants are placed with pinpoint precision.
What does that mean for you? Less time in the chair, a gentler recovery, and fewer risks along the way. Most importantly, it means your new smile doesn’t just fit – it feels natural, works in harmony with your bite, and looks like it’s always been yours.
Before we place a single implant, we take both a 3D scan of your mouth and a CBCT (Cone Beam CT) scan. This gives us a highly detailed 3D view of your bone, nerves, and soft tissue, so your treatment plan is accurate to the millimetre.
CBCT technology ensures the perfect placement of each implant, improves your long-term results, and helps us avoid any unwelcome surprises.
Mike has been placing dental implants since 2011, handling both surgical and restorative aspects. He regularly performs sinus lifts, full-arch bridges, and immediate full-arch loading (All-on-4), along with fully guided, flapless implant placement.
He works exclusively with Straumann implants – widely recognised as the gold standard in implant dentistry – and is currently completing Colin Campbell’s advanced third-year implant course.
Mike’s extensive training, meticulous approach, and use of cutting-edge technology mean you’re in the hands of someone who combines precision engineering with a deep understanding of what makes a smile both functional and beautiful.
The surgical part is usually completed in a few hours, with your provisional bridge fitted on the same day. Your final bridge is fitted after the implants have fully integrated (usually a few months later).
You’ll be given local anaesthetic, and sedation is available if you’d like to be even more relaxed. Most patients say discomfort afterwards is far less than expected, and it’s manageable with over-the-counter medication.
With proper care, your implants can last decades. The bridge may need replacing or repairing over time, but the implants themselves are designed for long-term use.
Yes – regular check-ups and hygiene visits are essential to keep your implants and gums healthy, just like natural teeth.
