A dental implant is a small titanium post that’s carefully placed into your jawbone to act as a replacement tooth root.
Once it’s fully settled in (we give it a little healing time), we attach a custom-made crown that’s colour-matched to blend in seamlessly with your other teeth.
When it comes to something as precise as implant dentistry, experience counts. Mike Ingram has been placing implants since 2011 and is skilled in both the surgical and restorative sides of treatment.
He’s not just here for straightforward cases – Mike also provides advanced treatments, including:
Mike exclusively uses Straumann implants – regarded as the best in the world for their quality, research, and success rates.
Always pushing his expertise even further, Mike is currently completing the third year of Colin Campbell’s advanced implant course.
To plan your treatment with absolute precision, we use a combination of 3D scans of your mouth and 3D x-ray images of your jaws called CBCT (Cone Beam CT) scans. This creates a 3D image of your mouth in relation to your jaw, allowing Mike to map out the exact position, angle, and depth of your implant before the procedure even begins.
This means greater accuracy, a smoother patient experience, and a reduced risk of complications – so you can feel confident you’re in safe hands.

With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, a dental implant can last decades. Straumann implants in particular have an excellent track record for longevity.
Most people can, as long as they have healthy gums and enough bone to support the implant. If bone volume is an issue, Mike can discuss grafting or sinus lift options to create new and healthy bone to allow you to become suitable for treatment. As self-confessed obsessive problem-solvers, we’ll always find a way to help you access treatment!
From placement to final crown fitting, most cases take a few months to allow for healing – but we can discuss temporary solutions so you never have to live with the gap.
